A New Hospital in Haltwhistle

The £4.6million Haltwhistle scheme has 12 extra-care flats with support for tenants on the ground floor, to replace the residential care service previously delivered at Greenholme, and 15 hospital beds on the first floor to provide rehabilitation support and care for elderly patients.

The Project, recently completed by GB Builders is another example of a medium to large scale project where Solo Blinds were asked to help finalise the project particulars and then carry out the manufacture and installation of the Cubicle tracks, Curtain Tracks and blinds.

The project contained a mixture of standard, anti-ligature cubicle rails and Vitesse 5600 curtain tracks, the systems installed were Movatrack and the highly acclaimed Kestrel by Yewdale as well as the shower curtains. The soft furnishings were manufactured by the NHS trust with the makeup and final covering Spec. supplied by Solo to the Trust.

The Project is a fine example where Solo are working hand-in-hand with a leading construction company and the NHS to provide a “turn-key” solution to fulfil all specifications and requirements.
